Student Spotlight on Lance Jordine

What is something that you have learned in your childhood that has stuck with you?

I learned that there is always going to be room for maturing and growth. It doesn’t just end when you reach adulthood.

What qualities do you value in people who you spend time with?

I value the respect for those around them and themselves.

What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

I could never get tired of Mamma Mia, especially the second one.

How do you judge a person?

I judge a person by the way they present themselves in difficult situations.

What is your life motto?

“If they think you can’t, prove to yourself that you can.”

What profession doesn’t get enough credit or respect?

Probably custodians. Just like everyone else on staff, they actually deal with a lot of difficulties with students and cleaning up messes they didn’t make.

What is your favorite thing about yourself?

I think I love how I’m able to make other people feel comfortable easily.

What is your favorite thing about SHS?

SHS has probably always wondered me with the selection in activities and clubs. There seems to be everything for everyone.

What motivates you to come to school?

The possibility of being able to make larger changes in the future presented to us.

What activities or hobbies do you enjoy outside of school?

I enjoy canoeing, baking, and starting movie marathons I’ll never finish.
