MTSS Teacher (Multi-Tiered System of Support).

What grade (s) do you teach? 

K-4.

How long have you been teaching at SASD? 

I have been teaching at Stroudsburg for 18 years..

What is your favorite part about teaching?

My favorite part about teaching is helping young students to understand the importance of being kind to one another.  When our school is filled with kindness, students are able to learn, have fun, and feel safe!

What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?

Give it your best try each and every day.  If you get frustrated or have a problem, don’t be afraid to ask for help!  Teachers are here for all students.

How and when did you know that teaching was what you wanted to do?

My parents were both educators and I knew I always wanted to follow in their footsteps.  When I got to college and started working with children, I knew I was on the right path.  I feel like teaching is a very rewarding career because I get to help our future leaders succeed each and every day.

What is your favorite sports team? Why are they your favorite?

I love watching football and the Las Vegas Raiders are my favorite team to watch. My favorite thing to say after the game is, “There is always next year!”

I grew up loving the Raiders because my favorite colors were silver and black when I was in 1st grade.
