Delano Morris, 12, and friends coordinated one final and special lunch gathering before departing for the SHS 10-day Thanksgiving break.–tablecloth and all. Lunch four was dominated by the “Friendsgiving” celebration on Friday, November 17. Chicken, beef and chicken empanadas, rice and beans, mashed potatoes, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and an assortment of donuts, this group had plenty to eat.
This luncheon may not have been nutritionally balanced with the absence of vegetables, but it was overloaded with a “sweetness” of a different sort–genuine kindness. Their goodwill captivated the Assistant Principal, Mrs. Gangaware, who snapped the photo.
