Stroudsburg will be holding an Open Mic Night on Thursday, March 29 from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. All sales go to the Diversity Council.

This will be held in the faculty dining room with lowered lights to give it the ai???coffee houseai??? feel. There will be snacks and refreshments throughout the night. Anyone is able to attend, this is not just for poetry. Ai??It can range from poetry to acoustic music or even comedy. The admission is $3.00 at the door but can be purchased in advance for only $2.00.

This open mic night will help the Diversity Council fund their trip to New York. While in New York they are visiting the Stonewall Inn. Stonewall is a Gay Bar and a national historic landmark site of the 1969 riots that launched the gay rights movement. Also, they would like to visit as many monumental places that stood for the gay rights movement while there.

The money will also go to buying travel size hygiene products and giving them to gay teen homeless shelters. If you have any questions contact Ms. Griswold in room C125.
