The 10th grade class comes to the High school with a bang!

The 10th grade class has been doing a fantastic job at getting students involved with their events while raising money for their class. From selling pop-sockets to the fresh idea of Live Action Clue, our site would like to shed some light on their tremendous work.

We talked to Ms. Shari Griswold about how the progress of the 10th grade class and her plans for the future.

We’ve provided a number of different activities for the entire student body to get involved, she says.

We also asked her what she thinks that they can do better and if she could start the year over again, would she make any changes?

“I think we should have started CLUE Round 2 (which beg on March 20th) sooner after the completion of the first round because people were still excited about it-but we do have quite a few people signed up already. I’m excited!” Ms. Griswold added.

“We have a diverse, core group of students who participate in all our events and sales. I’d love to get more kids involved, though.” For those interested in getting involved, Ms. Griswold would like you to know that for each event a member of the Class of 2020 works, they receive five entries into a raffle for a pair of prom tickets and flowers (a value of about $200), and for each event a member of the Class of 2020 attends, they receive one entry into the raffle.

“I think as this group gets into next year and then in their senior year, this will be a great incentive to keep getting kids involved,” says Griswold. She hopes that this will bring the amount of class participation she wants and hopes for.

All and all, she thinks that they are having a great start to a great product in the end.

“We just have to keep looking for new ideas to keep everyone interested. The goal is to make money, but to have fun doing it.” says Griswold .

Some new events coming for the sophomores are:

• Dress Down Day scheduled for Thursday, March 29
• Matball Tournament on Friday, April 6 (Teams of 10, Cost per team is $50, Double-elimination, Prizes for the winning team!)
• Ultimate Frisbee Tournament on Friday, May 18 (Teams of 7, Cost per team is $35,Double-elimination,Prizes for the winning team!)
• Wing Night on April 20th ( Admission is 1 dollar with a drink included, 40 cents a piece, along with an offer of pre-orders for $5.50.Ai??Students will vote for the best wings and the winner will receive a HUGE trophy and the title of Wing Master.)

With this year coming to a close with the last quarter approaching, we asked if there was any future plans already set in stone for summer and fall 2018 fundraisers.

“At the end of this year, we’ll look at the fundraisers we did this year and assess which ones were successful and should be repeated and continue to ask members of the class for other ideas.”says Griswold . For the summer she says, “We are planning several car washes, and we have been talking to Pocono Raceway about a possible fundraising opportunity.”

With all the hard work the sophomores are putting in every other class should watch out and put a pep in their step. Ms.Griswold wants all of the class of 2020 it know that class officers meet with me each Day 2 of the cycle. We also meet in preparation for various events as necessary.
