Junior High cross country season is off and running!
April 23, 2018
Watch out! A sea of junior high students are running down the field! They are a part of the Stroudsburg Junior High Cross Country program.
The junior high program is run by Mr. Matt Sobrinski and Mr. Chris Hedgelon. The program has been going on for over 20 years and has had a huge success rate. Anywhere from 150-200 students come to practice and compete.
This is a four week program with a race every Thursday.
Coach Griswold was in charge for a decade and he asked me if I wanted to help out on race days. It was amazing to see all the kids racing, commented Coach Sobrinski.
Cross Country is a spectator sport so students, former runners, parents, and staff are encouraged to come out and cheer the runners on. The first of four races this season will be on April 23 at 4:00, starting at the back of the junior high looping around the school and through Mountie Mountain.
