67 students attend FBLA state conference!

Sixty-seven students from Stroudsburg High School recently attended the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference (better known as SLC) in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Everyone that went to the conference competed in an event that they hoped would get them to nationals in Baltimore, Maryland.

At the award ceremony, the students who placed in the top 10 for their event got called to the stage and each got a plaque stating where they placed.

Out of all the events, Stroudsburg had 33 students make it to the top 10. Here is the list of students who got top 10 in their event (Students who made it to nationals are in bold):

1st Place Health Care Administration: Jordan Smith

1st Place Impromptu Speaking: Taha Vahanvaty

2nd Place Public Service Announcement: Vasilia Briegel, Erin Hunt, Hana Weiss

4th Place Management Information Systems:Josephine Cimino, Jacob Schimpf, Caleb Secor

5th Place Intro to Information Technology: Brayden Graham

7th Place Parliamentary Procedure: Matthew Bodon, Jesse Boies, Chukwuma Chukwuma, Kyle Hennessy, David Kutteroff

7th Place Organizational Leadership: Magdalen Trunfio

8th Place Social Media: Rachael Bucci, Marrissa Izykowicz, Audrey Razak

8th Place Electronic Career Portfolio: Calvin Leon

8th Place Broadcast Journalism: Neveen Mansi, Maddie Regenye, Hannah Tepper

9th Place Graphic Design: John Mesko, Jason Lee, Sean Savage

10th Place Business Financial Plan: Tatum Corwin, Juliet Quartararo

10th Place Sports & Entertainment Management: Lukas Cardoni, Jared Everett, Victor Price

Not only did Stroudsburg students win awards. Stroudsburg High School won awards too! They included having the largest chapter in the state (with 210 members), 3rd place for Outstanding Chapter, and 5th place for donating to the state charity, Alzheimer’s Association.
