Join the Holy Cross Orthodox Church on June 7 through June 10 for the annual Greek Festival. The festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 12:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

“Greek festival is so much fun because you get to see the dancers and eat Greek food and listen to the language,” said senior Viktoria Petri, an active participant in the festival. “The church is right there so you can always go inside and see the Greek Orthodox religion and all of the kids wear the traditional clothing so you get to see the customs of old Greece.”

Enjoy traditional Greek cuisine like Souvlaki, Gyros, Spanakopita, and Baklava. The food is made fresh and sold at the concession stands. Various goods like jewelry all the way to handmade wreaths are sold at the tables for anyone who is interested.

Watch as the culture of Greece takes root through music and dancing. Children from the community practice all year round to perform customary dances such as the Sirtaki and the Kalamatianos. They wear intricate outfits to represent their heritage.

The Greek Festival continues to grow and everyone is welcome.
