Truth and Deceit written by sophomore Ulani Jordine
Death.
And his soil brown eyes.
And his mocha colored skin.
His body as strong
As the feathered wings on his back.
Life.
And his honey golden irises.
And his pale exterior.
His smile as sharp
As the ivory horns on his head.
Mortals confuse both beings.
But which is the lie?
And which is the truth?
It is up to each individual to decide.
Is Death the glorified end?
Or is Life the deceiving beginning?
Choose wisely.
