Is water wet?
Water is not wet. Water is wet to other things like wood, human skin, and soil, but water itself can’t be wet on itself. It just makes no sense.
Who are your favorite teachers and why?
My favorite teachers are the librarians at SHS, Mrs. Davis and Ms. Kraeutler. They are the sweetest, warm-hearted, supportive people I know. Whenever I need to vent anything out or just have a chat about the royal family, they are always there. I have no idea what I would have done without them.
What’s the funniest word in the English language?
The funniest word in the English language is dish soap because it’s so easy to mispronounce, and it just doesn’t flow well when you say it because the words merge together. It’s funny, especially when you say it repeatedly and really fast.
Which countries/places would you like to travel to?
I would love to travel all around the world. I would love to see and learn about the different cultures. But I definitely want to, at one point in my life, live in London because their history is just so cool and because, duh, the royal family!
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan after graduation is I want to go to a four year university to major in international affairs. Hopefully one day I will be able to work in the United Nations where I can help make a difference in the world.
What was your favorite class at SHS?
My favorite class in SHS was Biology with Mr. Pfeiffer. I remember coming into that class sophomore year thinking I would hate it. But in the end I was so glad I took it because it was such an interesting and fun class. And now I am even taking AP bio the next school year.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
If I had a superpower it would be levitation because I would not only be able to levitate objects, but also myself helping me get from one place to another.
What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?
Another Cinderella Story with Selena Gomez because 1: it’s a classic, 2: it’s amazing, and 3: it’s Selena Gomez, I love Selena Gomez!
What is your favorite thing about SHS?
My favorite thing about SHS is the variety of everything that it offers, from different classes, clubs, sports, and opportunities. We are all very fortunate to have access to all of it.
What activities do you enjoy outside of school?
I am involved in many extracurriculars. I am in Key Club, Art Club, Model Congress, FBLA, Aveidum, NHS, Environmental, Best Buddies, Peer Tutoring, and I play tennis in the fall. Overall I enjoy being a part of all of these extracurriculars because they bring a little bit of everything into my life.
But best buddies this year was the best one out of all because I got to not only meet so many people, talk with them and have fun, but also volunteer at Common Threads which was a beyond amazing experience and organization to volunteer at. (Follow @shs.commonthreads on Instagram!)
