Peer Tutoring available in SHS library
October 9, 2019
Students who attend Stroudsburg High School can volunteer to tutor fellow students and kids in the elementary, intermediate, middle, and junior high school.
Tutoring is available all week after school for those who are interested in joining this club. It begins this Friday, October 4. For more information, visit the library.
“Peer tutoring is kids helping kids,” said senior Sydney Runkel. “Students sign up to help out in elementary school or in the high school. Our adviser is in contact with principals and students to figure out what time works best for both people. The peer tutor has to find a way to transport themselves to and from the location.”
Ms. Sherie Stauffer, the new SHS librarian, is the club’s adviser. She is taking inquiries and requests to either be tutored or become a tutor in the library. Students can also directly send inquiries to Ms. Stauffer’s email address:

Hello,
My daughter is in 4th grade and I was wondering if she can try the tutoring program. What are the days and times that you have available? Thank you very much.
