Olivia Heyward, Staff Writer

What better way to celebrate Stroudsburg’s homecoming than a parade, homecoming queen crowning, a friendly student ran float competition and a Friday night football game?

This Friday, October 18, 2019, the annual Homecoming parade will be held on Main Street in Stroudsburg. The parade begins at 5:00 p.m. at Courthouse Square and ends in the bus parking lot at approximately 5:45 p.m. with the float contest.

In the parade, the beautiful homecoming nominees will be in a vehicle of their choice along with the four class floats.

Each float has been worked on for weeks in preparation to be judged.

The theme for the floats is “kid-ensemble movies” including:

Senior Class: High School Musical

Junior Class: Harry Potter

Sophomore Class: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Freshman Class: Teen Beach Movie

Each float will be judged on originality, creativity, and all together presentation.

The game proceeding these events will be against the Dieruff Huskies, with kickoff being at 7:00 p.m.
