Girls Cross Country

Similar to the boys, the girls cross country team concluded their regular season with a commanding win over Pleasant Valley. The girls finished their season unbeaten in their last four races with a record of 4-1. This success can be credited to their friendship and positive attitudes.

“The girls had an easy-going personality this season,” said Foti. “The senior girls also made it a priority for younger runners to feel welcomed.”

Team leaders were seniors Maddy Gasper and Sara Eckel. The girls team improved over the course of the season, and they finished 9th at the District XI Championships on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Senior Ciara Conboy qualified for states for the fourth consecutive year with a 7th place finish.
