What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

One of few movies I can watch over and over would be Interstellar. It is a very intense and powerful movie and makes me think about humanity’s future.

What was your favorite class at SHS?

My favorite class was physics with The Mr. Doney. The class never became boring or annoying, instead it was full of fun challenges, learning experiences and motivated me to be a better student.

What is your greatest strength?

To me, my greatest strength is my ambition and passion for the sciences and the ability to understand concepts at a rapid pace.

What motivates you to come to school?

I feel that I don’t need motivation to go to school, rather it feels like part of my life because I love the endless flow of knowledge. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without our education system.

Who are your favorite teachers and why?

My favorite teachers are Mr. Doney, Mr. Dieter, and Mr. Zimmerman. They have all inspired, motivated, and challenged me to become a better me! They have always pushed me and made the student I am today. Mr. Doney will forever have a place in my heart because of the person he was to me, he was more than a physics teacher and made my day every day.

What are your plans after graduation?

After I graduate high school, I plan on going to Wilkes University and majoring in biochemistry, or receiving my PharmD and continuing a professional career in pharmacology and toxicology.

What is the greatest experience you have ever had?

The greatest experience I have ever had so far in life was going to Project Mexico in Tijuana, Mexico. I had the chance to see and live through the unfortunate circumstances the people have to go through there and it has taught me to appreciate and thank God for every little thing I have here.

When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?

I’m sure almost everyone will agree, it will definitely be this whole year of 2020. And, of course, we have to exaggerate things a little, so I would call it The War of 2020.

If there is one thing you could change in the world, what would it be?

Something that I would definitely want to change or be a part of is perfecting sustainable energy and eliminating famine. If we could accomplish this as a race, it would save our species in the long term. We don’t really understand or see this since we live in the USA, but to parts of the world, this is a life or death situation for their generation.

How do you judge a person?

I have always judged a person by their actions, respectfulness, and whether or not they practice what they preach. I very much despise people who are full of negativity and hate, that will get you nowhere, I promise.
