Student Spotlight on Simone Odrain
February 26, 2021
How do you judge a person?
I judge a person by their personality and if they respect others. If they’re friendly, I’ll be more than happy to be their friend! :)
What is your favorite class at SHS?
I enjoy all of my classes honestly! But I would have to say Mrs.Flad’s history class. The discussions that we have are always lovely to listen to and participate in!
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Invisibility! That way I can get out of awkward/uncomfortable situations more easily.
What social stigma does society need to get over?
Personally, I think that people sometimes judge others based on their interests too much! Just because someone is into something that you may not like, it doesn’t mean you should treat them any different than any other person.
What are your plans after graduation?
I’m planning on going straight to college actually! As of now, I think psychology is an interesting field. I plan on taking classes for it next year to get a feel for where I’m headed with that.
When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?
About the virus most definitely, and how I handled getting through the pandemic with the rest of this generation. I hope they’re ready to hear about I made whipped coffee and how the toilet paper supply went down.
What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of it?
I would say either Doctor Sleep or Glass. Both are very amazing movies!
What is your favorite thing about yourself?
I think my favorite thing about myself is how I’ve made so many wonderful friends here! I’m so happy to have them in my life.
What is the greatest experience you’ve ever had?
It would be either the time I got tickets and VIP passes to an America’s Got Talent tour show in Bethlehem or when I went to see Avengers: Endgame opening night at 11 pm.
What is your goal for this year?
My goal for 2021 is to work hard and still try to enjoy it despite the hard times we’re going through. Hopefully it will get better soon, I have hope for the future. :)
