How long have you been teaching in the Stroudsburg Area School District?

This is my seventh year at Stroudsburg, but my third as a permanent 3rd grade teacher. I have had several long-term substitute positions as a 2nd & 3rd grade teacher as well as both a Math and Reading Specialist, all back when this school was SIES. 

Why do you enjoy teaching?

Teaching is truly my passion. I have never wanted to do anything else. I enjoy the relationships I build with my students and families as well, as watching my students grow and make progress throughout the year. One of my favorite quotes is, “If you choose a job that you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” This could not be more true for me! Walking into school each day just feels right; kind of like being at home!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up right here in Stroudsburg! I went to this school back when it was the Middle School and housed grades 5-8. Oh, and there were no walls (I’m still not sure how I learned anything during those years)!
