Chris Hu and Bella Snyder, juniors

Chris stopped by Mr. Harold (Skip) Cassady’s room during the school day on Friday, September 24 to ask if he could surprise his girlfriend, Bella, while she was playing in the stands at the football game with the marching band.  He wanted to ask her to the SHS Homecoming Dance.

Bella was playing in the stands with the marching band, completely unaware of what was happening. Chris, who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, started up towards the band, with a sign and flowers in hand.

When the marching band and student section saw Chris and figured out what was happening, they all began cheering. Bella turned around and saw her boyfriend waiting for her. They shared a hug, and she answered the big question with an obvious YES! Congratulations to this awesome couple!
