Every year, Student Government at SHS has a hand in a lot of events at SHS.

Over the last few years, Student Government has organized many events and activities such as dances, donations to other clubs, voter registration, activity fairs, senior picnics, pep rallies, and more.

This year’s officers are as follows: senior Casimir Morgan is the president, senior Rachel Traub is the vice-president, senior Jacqueline Augugliaro is the secretary, senior Brandon Lastimosa is the treasurer, and Jessica Brady is the junior vice-president. Ms. Melissa Haubrich is the adviser of this club.

Traub has been involved since 8th grade.

“You don’t feel the pressure of being in charge of everything, but you get to be a part of making decisions,” said Traub. “If you want to be involved in school activities, join Student Gov.”

Student Government is very excited to be organizing this Thursday’s pep rally.

“We have several fun events planned, including a teacher rap battle,” said Brady.

On a weekly basis, Student Government members meet to plan upcoming events.

Student Government members Sanai Harrison, Dana Persaud, and Ethan Wager sit at the club’s tables at the Activities Fair.
