High School.

English.

What grade(s) do you teach?

11th and 12th.

How long have you been teaching at SASD?

This is my 22nd year teaching.     

What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?

Find what you are passionate about.  Work harder at it than anyone else, and someone will pay you to do it for a living.

What is your favorite sports team? Why are they your favorite?

I follow all Philly sports teams, but because baseball is my first love, I follow the Phillies most ardently.  I cry a lot.  They always seem to be the underdog, and I like a good underdog story.

What is your favorite quote and what does it mean to you?

“Love always wins” – Morrie Schwartz.  I can’t say that hate never gets the best of me, but I’ve never regretted the decisions I’ve made out of love.  Only the ones I’ve made out of hate.

Why did you choose the subject that you teach? 

Math was too easy.
