My classes are a mix of sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

How long have you been teaching at SASD?

This is my fourth year teaching at SASD!

What is one important lesson you have learned as an educator?

The most important lesson I have learned as an educator is to always continue learning yourself! I love taking classes outside of school to learn new skills and dig up inspiration.

What is your favorite part about teaching?

Watching my students learn, create, and grow as artists and human beings!

What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?

One piece of advice I would share with my students is to revel in the process of creating a work of art. Final products are great, but the process is where the good stuff lives.

What is your favorite sports team? Why are they your favorite?

My favorite sports team would have to be the US Women’s Soccer National Team because of their skills and advocacy for women’s sports!

What is your favorite quote and what does it mean to you?

A quote that has stuck with me over the last few years is, “When there’s a fork in the road, take it.” It’s a reminder that we all face choices and challenges in our lives, and sometimes we have to go with our guts and do hard things.
