Andrew Polanco and guest, Marcus Callender, 10, discuss the all too depressing realities of the main characters Amy Lau, played by Ali Wong, and Danny Cho, played by Steven Yeun. This 2023 psychological thriller has some dark moments as well as comedic. The storyline touches upon the frustrations and anxiety of struggling middle-class people who aspire to live more comfortably and securely–but that’s just one of the on-screen struggles. The clash of characters is battling cultural cliches and taboos, economic disparity, and emotional management.
