At which school in the district do you teach?

Stroudsburg High School

 

What subject(s) do you teach?

Chemistry

 

What grade(s) do you teach?

11th and 12th grade

 

How long have you been teaching at SASD?

This is my first year teaching in the district. 

 

What is your favorite part about teaching? 

It is really fun when I see students gain an interest in science. 

 

If you could teach another subject what would it be and why?

I would teach physics. I have taught physics in the past and I enjoy it. 

 

If you had gone into another profession, what would it be and why?

If I were not a teacher, I would most likely have gone into a pharmacy or medical program.

 

What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?

Hard work now will pay off in the future. 

 

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?

Teleportation. It would be awesome to travel so quickly. 

 

How and when did you know teaching was what you wanted to do?

I’ve always wanted to teach. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. 

 

What is a joke you always keep in your pocket?

Where did the General keep his armies? In his sleeves. 

 

What will your life look like after you retire?

Hopefully spending a lot of time with my family and traveling around the U.S.

 

What is a hidden talent of yours?

I play acoustic guitar

 

What is your proudest achievement?

Winning teacher of the marking period during my first year of teaching.

 

What makes you smile?

Spending time with my family members (especially my niece and nephew)

 

What is something your students have taught you?

Students have taught me to be more patient.
