Where are you from?
My dad is from Ukraine and my mom is from Belarus but I was born and raised here in Stroudsburg.
What are your plans after high school?
I plan to go to a 4-year University to study in a math or engineering field.
Do you speak any other languages than English?
Yes, my first language is Russian. My mom is from Belarus and speaks Belarussian and Russian, and my dad is from Ukraine and speaks Ukrainian and Russian, so that’s the common language between them.
What activities or hobbies do you enjoy out of school?
I enjoy playing the drums and trombone and hanging out with friends.
Which countries/places would you like to visit?
I’d like to see a lot of places in the Mediterranean.
What’s something people don’t worry about but really should?
I wouldn’t even consider myself a huge environmental activist, but it is alarming how fast the earth has been warming in the past few years.
When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?
I think they’ll ask about what it was like growing up without tons of technology surrounding everything.
How do you judge a person?
I judge people based on how reliable and trustworthy they are.
What is your greatest strength?
I am very self-motivated.
What is your greatest accomplishment so far?
I peaked in 5th grade when Mr. Horvath read my TDA Essay out loud in class and said it was perfect.
