On Monday, April 15, the boys’ track team beat the Dieruff Huskies 100-50. Of the 36 events, the SHS boys’ track team placed in the top five in most of those events.
The guys dominated the field events, especially Pole Vault, grabbing the top three places: all juniors, Maxsim Lamberton, Austin Herman, and John Casey.
Kevin Polonia, 12, took first place in both the Long Jump and the Triple Jump. Stoney Fuller-Bey, 12, pulled first place in the shot put event while junior, Mekhi Spencer, grabbed second place, and sophomore, Ralph Taylor nabbed third.
Eddie Cruz, 12, took first in Discus, and Norell Warrick, 11, took second place.
Respectively, James Kelly, 11, and Nathan Kloss, 12, placed first and second in Javelin.
The boys also dominated in the 100-meter Dash: senior, Josh Shuler placed first; junior, Ryan Francis took second place, and senior, Lucas Antal took third.
In the 800-meter Run, Ian Demarest, 12, placed first and Dominic Perini, 11, placed second.
Abiel Quarterly, 12, took first in the 110-meter Hurdles, and junior, Aidan Coyne snagged third.
Stroudsburg’s A-team took first place in both the 4 x 100-meter and the 4 x 800-meter relays.
