Freshman Spotlight on Julia Saurman

Julia+Saurman+smiling+for+a+picture+in+the+mirror.
Julia Saurman smiling for a picture in the mirror.

As of right now, after I graduate High School, I see myself doing…

I either see myself becoming a lawyer or joining the FBI, but I think it’s more likely that I’d become a lawyer.

Do you have any hobbies or activities you enjoy?

I like to dance, read, cook, sing, and listen to music.

Do you have a favorite sport? Do you play it too? Why do you like it?

I love watching football and baseball, but I don’t play either one. I like to watch them because I watch both with my family.

What’s your favorite movie (or show)?

I love to watch The Music Man and Criminal Minds.

Do you have any pets?

I currently have 4 cats: Oliver, Stormie (The Bean), Alex, and Sid. I technically have a fifth cat, but he lives outside and he only comes home around once a month.

How do you think you’ll feel in the High School?

I think I’ll feel happier because I can do more things and (hopefully) have more freedom.

What is your favorite class at the Junior High School? Why?

I like History and Orchestra. I love learning about the past and I also love playing cello with the group I’ve been with for such a long time.

What’s your favorite quote?

“Live as you were to die tomorrow; Learn as if you were to live forever” – Mahatma Gandhi

Which places would you like to travel to someday and why?

I would love to travel to Europe. I love learning about European history and I think Europe is gorgeous, so I’d love to visit it.

What is your most fond memory?

A few years ago, I went to stay on an island on Lake Ontario. My best friend, Saturn, was also there and we had a blast exploring the island, eating food, and watching the same ad on TV every ad break.
