I hold a split position at Stroudsburg, teaching at both the high school and junior high school.
What subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Social Studies, focusing specifically on Economics, Civics and Government, and United States History.
How long have you been teaching at SASD?
This is my first year of teaching, as well as my first year at SASD!
What is your favorite part about teaching?
My favorite part about teaching is seeing the moment when a student truly understands a concept. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I can make a difference in their learning journey. I also love building connections with my students and witnessing their growth, both academically and personally. Those moments of discovery and engagement are what make teaching so fulfilling for me.
What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?
I would encourage them all to always reach for the stars. Embrace the joy of being young and in school, as these moments are truly special. Remember to strive for personal growth each day—aim to be better than you were yesterday. Your potential is limitless!
What is a joke you always keep in the pocket?
Where did the pig park his car? In the porking lot!
What is your proudest achievement?
Choosing a career in teaching has been one of the best decisions I’ve made; it is an incredibly rewarding profession.
What makes you smile?
What makes me smile the most is the time I spend with my family and friends. Their laughter, support, and love create unforgettable moments that brighten my days.
What is something your students have taught you?
My students have taught me the importance of adaptability and resilience. Their diverse perspectives and unique challenges remind me that learning is a dynamic process. They often inspire me to approach problems with creativity and to stay open-minded.
