Hill View Manor, located in New Castle, Pennsylvania, is well known for being haunted and many spirits have been seen over the years. The manor itself will be 100 years old in October of 2026. It was known in 1926 as the Lawrence County Home for the Aged. The house and farm was a place where mentally ill, severely destitute, and elderly residents lived.
Guests and staff members of the Manor have reported interactions and communication with the spirits of the Manor. There are some well known spirits to frequent visitors, but recently some “new” spirits have begun to communicate.
In the early days of the building, the third floor was used as a medical wing for residents who needed to be closely watched by medical professionals. On this same floor was Room 302, where spirits, belonging to children, have been reported for years.
Commonly there have been sightings of a little girl, skipping and dancing, and a little boy, playing on the floor. After investigating, it was discovered that these two children are Ellie and Tucker.
Both spirits are shy and take some time to warm up to guests, but are both friendly. Ellie loves anything with sparkles and enjoys playing with her dolls. Tucker prefers to play with toy trucks and loves Jack in the box.
After further research, it was found that Room 302 had been a children’s dormitory during the Tuberculosis epidemic in the 1920s.
