On Wednesday, October 9, Stroudsburg Volleyball had its last regular season game against Pleasant Valley.
They lost in the fifth set 18-16. The final was 3 sets to Pleasant Valley and 2 to Stroudsburg.
The Bears came in strong, winning the first two sets. The Mountaineers managed to rebound and take the next two sets keeping them in the game.
Stroudsburg started slow in the final set and down five points. Mounties managed to catch up, pushed the set into overtime, and over 15, but lost in the end by two.
This was a hard loss for the Mountaineers considering they won the last matchup against Pleasant Valley earlier this season.
This now leaves the Mountaineers ending their season 11-8. This is the best season for the Mountaineers in over five years. Their first game in districts will be on Saturday.
