On Friday, Stroudsburg defeated East Stroudsburg North, 40-7.
The victory marked the Mountaineers’ second-largest margin of victory this season, only trailing the win against Pocono Mountain East, where they won by 37 points.
WR Kamari Coleman, ’25, had two receiving touchdowns during the contest. He also had a scoop-and-score to increase the Stroudsburg lead. The 98-yard fumble return broke a school record, the second consecutive week a Mountaineer receiver has broken a record.
WR Ethan Dudsak, ’25, broke the school reception record against Pocono Mountain West on October 4. The duo of receivers have dominated defenses this year, both having over 5 receiving touchdowns this season.
Stroudsburg has continued to use the two-QB system with Ben Pilcher, ’25, and Jack Mitchell, ’27. Both quarterbacks have succeeded in a new offensive scheme based on pushing the ball down the field and throwing it more than running like they have the past couple of seasons.
The Mountaineers had a rollercoaster season. They have won games by 20, 15, 37, 30, and 33 points. The Mountaineers have lost games by 17, 35, and 29 points. Their point differential on the season is plus 52. They have a 5-3 record on the season best for eighth in District XI 6A.
Next, is the traditional matchup against rivals East Stroudsburg South for the Lil’ Brown Jug. Stroudsburg lost the jug last year after regaining it in 2022.
