The Stroudsburg Field Hockey team has made the playoffs once again with a record of 12-7 and a conference record of 12-6. In the last month, the girls have been on fire with an 8-3 record.
Stroudsburg’s defense has been on lockdown, allowing zero goals in their victories this season other than an 8-1 win over Pleasant Valley. The defense is led by Lucy Barzev, ’25, with 28 saves, and Ella Butz, ’25, with 8.
The offense has been absolutely electric this season outscoring their opponents 53 to 6 since September 16. The offense is led by Grace Staples, ’25, with 13 goals. She also leads the team in assists with 11, and shots with 31.
Along with Staples, offensive weapons Haley Dreisbach, ’25, and Cailin Mignosi, ’26, have contributed to the goals with 11 and 10, respectively. Leanna Neri, ’27, and Sydney Moritz, ’25, have facilitated the ball well, combining for 15 assists this season.
Overall, the team has had a very good year and is looking to take this momentum into their first playoff game. The time, place, and date are all still to be determined for their first matchup in the playoffs.
