Mindy Tkach is a biology teacher and Aevidum advisor at Stroudsburg High School. Recently, she’s had an opportunity to work at the Temple/St. Luke’s School of Medicine as a curriculum coordinator in charge of medical students. She seized her moment, even though she was sad to leave her students behind.
She said, “The hardest part was knowing that I would have to leave my students and colleagues as well as Advideum.”
Her students were sorry to see her go, and her first and second-period classes threw a farewell party for her on her last day, October 31.
A student of hers, Abigail Hevener, ’27, commented, “She’s so nice and supportive with all of her students. She always has a smile on her face, and makes her classroom feel welcoming to everyone. I’m going to miss Mrs. Tkach, and hope she enjoys her new job!”
A teacher from the Junior High School, Mr. Zimmerman is replacing her soon. His former and new students are all excited to welcome and see him again.
Jen Giordano is taking over Tkach’s position as co-advisor for Aevidum. If you need any help or have any questions, both her and Mrs. Laskowski, the current and ongoing co-advisor, are found in the G-Hallway on the second floor of the High School building.
Stroudsburg High School wishes Mrs. Tkach good luck in all of her future endeavors and hopes she will be appreciated at her new job as much as she was at her old one!
