Three level one SHS students placed in the “Anything Goes” competition in the MCTI Cosmetology program hosted by Advisor Leatha Nonnemaker. First place was snagged by Zoey Balcik, ‘27, and third place winner was Jorai Hunter, ‘27. Isabella DeFalco,’27, won the Most Original category.
The competition gave students a chance to use their creativity while designing both everyday and original looks.
DeFalco said, she adapted the style to her liking but was “using skills [she] had recently just learned like Dutch braiding small sections and curling the hair with a Marcel iron.”
This competition allowed students to showcase their growing talents in the MCTI cosmetology program.
Isabella states, “[She] was honored to win an award for it, the process was really fun and I look forward to next year’s ‘Anything Goes’ project.”
Not only did Balcik, DeFalco, and Hunter showcase their talents, but they also had fun while doing it.
