On Friday, December 6, the Stroudsburg High School co-ed swim team took on Delaware Valley High School at home. The final scores of the meet were Girls 35-59 and Boys 42 to 52.
The team has had two meets so far going 1-1 in those contests. The swim team has many new members this year and the coaches are excited to see where they take us.
Although both teams fell short on the scoreboard, they had some phenomenal performances. Elizabeth Eberz,’24, says, “The team put a really hard effort in, and we all had good swims! I am very proud of everyone.”
Swim team captain, Anna Kirby,’24, says, “The team had so many great swims and close races. The team atmosphere was amazing and I am so excited to see everyone keep progressing throughout the season!” Kirby beat her own school record by 1 second. Anna got a time of 1:00.45 in the 100 backstroke.
The team’s next meet is today against Liberty High School at 5 pm at home.
