Stroudsburg plays their first official game this season at Curtis-Spinner Gymnasium tonight as they host Easton High School. Last week Stroudsburg’s scheduled game against East Stroudsburg South was moved from the high school to the junior high school gym due to a malfunction of one of the nets hanging above the hardwood.
The team has started the season 3-1, winning their games by an average score of 26.6 points per game. Right now, they are sitting at 5th in District XI 6A standings.
Emily Bozena, ’25, has been a big part of the team’s success this season. Her hot start includes her 27-point performance against Pocono Mountain East last Tuesday. Bozena hit a new career high with 27 points.
Easton comes into this matchup 2-0, winning their first two games by 36 and 21 points respectively.
The Mountaineers have not beaten Easton since 2020, when they defeated the Red Rovers by 13 points.
