A lucky couple in Monroe County won seven million dollars during an ordinary run to the store.
WFMZ-TV reported Shana Juhasz usually buys a Powerball, Mega Millions, or a random “feeling lucky” ticket; however, when she went to buy some sweet treats for her daughter, she somehow wound up with a very blessed Cash4Life ticket.
Shana will use some of the money to help with her schooling since she is learning how to become a nurse practitioner, and Stephen Juhasz III, her husband, will use it to pay off his student loans as well.
They also have plans to invest, save, and take the family on a trip to Disney.
The Cash4Life winning came with a hard decision to make: One thousand dollars every day for the rest of your life or a seven million cash prize?
After federal and state taxes are cut from the cash amount, the couple is said to receive approximately 5,105,100 dollars.
The retail company, GIANT Food Stores, which sold the winning ticket will also receive 10,000 dollars for hosting said ticket.
The Pennsylvania Lottery has only awarded 17 second-tier, and now, one top-tier Cash4Life prize in the last decade.
This might be a sign to invest in some lottery tickets!
