Who stole your heart this year? Stroudsburg high school held their King of Hearts spirit week last week, Feb. 10 through 14.
The week was filled with love, pink, and even a kayak! Tuesday was rhyme without reason, Wednesday was bring anything but a backpack, and Thursday was red, white, or pink based on graduation year.
The pep rally was held in the gym to celebrate the nominees. The Class of ’25 nominees for King of Hearts were Ethan Dudsak, Colton Leeth, Logan Potochnick, Anthony Knight, Austin Herman, Anthony Borrero, Leonel Ramirez, and Alexander Jagroop.
Stroudsburg’s annual pep rally included fun games such as basketball, musical chairs, and dodgeball. Students in the stands got to participate in some activities like finish the lyric, and t-shirt tosses. The marching band encouraged school spirit by joining in to get the crowd hype with their music and as the music in musical chairs.
During the pop rally the Class of ’25 senior superlatives where also announced.
“Running the pep rally as a member of student government is a big commitment and time management is important. It is important to give every student a voice. My favorite part of the pep rallies are all the performances from the color guard, marching band, and even when the football team performs,” says Katelyn Pantinople, ’25.

The King of Hearts dance was held on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. The student government planned, decorated, and ran the dance. The king was announced at the dance. The king was Colton Leeth.
“I was really surprised to be the king and even to be nominated. The picture of all my friends bowing down to me feels interesting,” commented Leeth, ’25.
The runners up were Anthony Knight in second place and Ethan Dudsak in third place.
