On Tuesday, Stroudsburg softball lost against Emmaus 3-2, but not all was lost.
The Mountaineers played hard, kept up with the Hornets throughout the game, and lost by a walk-off in the end.
Jordan Cook, ’27, says, ” It’s impressive knowing that Emmaus has always been a strong team. We should be proud that our game was only 2-3 instead of 1-11 like last year.”
She added how the team has grown: “Our team has improved so much since last year, taking wins away from Lehigh Valley teams that beat and/or mercied us. We’ve broken years of winning streaks for teams like Easton and Northampton, who’s been beating us since 2016.”

Cook,’27, is on Pocono record for the athlete of the week for her amazing performance against East Stroudsburg North. She threw a no-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks in a 9-0 win over North. Go vote for her.
