On May 6, 2025, several Stroudsburg High School students were recognized for their accomplishments during the 2024-2025 school year at the Forty-Fourth Annual Academic Awards Ceremony.
Maureen Verwey is retiring after 35 years at Stroudsburg. She has been the advisor of the National Honor Society for many years. Current club officers include:

The ceremony started off with Jeffrey Sodl, the principal giving a speech, announcing that 197 students were being awarded that night. National Honor Society president, Mia Marga ‘25 and the Vice president, Logan Potochnick discussed the four pillars of the National Honor Society and the activities they accomplished this school year, which started the induction ceremony.
Caroline Byra, ‘25 went over the scholarship.
Catherine Brinker, ‘25 went over service.
Peter Leyba, ‘25 went over leadership.
The last pillar, character, was discussed by Ann Alekseyev, ‘25.
After each pillar was talked through, Shelbi Calligari, ‘25, lit a candle signifying each of the four pillars. Julia Sobrinkski, ‘26 then helped the initiates give a pledge, concluding the initiation.

After the inductions, Sodl distributed academic awards. Awards were given to the sophomore class first, followed by juniors, then seniors. Such awards included the top ten percent, the top five percent, and any awards for getting into states for FBLA and TSA.
As the seniors received their awards, Sodl also announced Hadiya Hassan as Valedictorian and Juliana Vo as Salutatorian of the class of 2025.
