The Mountaineer staff would like to welcome everyone back to school and the sophomores to the High School! 

Hi! I am Crista Kopec, and I took over Olivia Celano’s position of Editor-in-Chief for my senior year! I look forward to serving The Mountaineer this year, as I believe accurate and quick coverage is the best way to connect the school. I plan on continuing my coverage in politics and entertainment, and I hope to branch out to sports every once in a while. Next year, I plan to attend East Stroudsburg University, majoring in political science and minoring in communications.  I am looking forward to working with the staff to create a place for every student to feel recognized.  I want to work with the students and teachers equally, to give everyone the recognition they deserve. I am excited to work with the junior editor-in-chief, Lile Bekaia!

Hey everyone! I’m Lile Bekaia, and I’m taking over for Alexis Binikos. I write features, news, and entertainment, and I take pictures for wrestling and tennis. I can’t wait to work with Crista Kopec and the rest of my class to produce a great newspaper this year. This year’s theme is MUSIC! We are working to get started on this year’s paper as soon as possible. Let’s get this story started!
