Volleyball dominates East Stroudsburg North and Palmerton

Stroudsburg’s Volleyball team went against East Stroudsburg North on August 28th at 5 p.m.

Both JV and Varsity teams vigorously warmed up for their second home game. JV easily won their game 2-0.

Isabella DeFalco, ‘27, and Angelica DiTaranto, ‘27, managed to serve balls that kept dwindling out on North’s side.

Melanie Barbaran, ‘26, used her killer arm to keep the game interesting between the instantly won points and the unexpected saves on North’s side.

Sets one and two of the Varsity game were very close, with the winning side constantly changing point by point.

The team still managed a 3-0 win by a landslide, with the final set at 25-8 points.

Stroudsburg went against Palmerton on August 29th at 5 p.m. JV continued their win streak of  2-0 once again.

Varsity’s game was close in sets one and two; however, the final set had a drastic win of 25-7 points.

The season is filled with tough opponents, but it is looking promising for Stroudsburg.

Jermaine Watts, ’26, who has been a volleyball manager for the past two years, commented, “The team is good and the freshmen that came in recently are really, really, really good.”

Good luck to the girls in their upcoming away game against East Stroudsburg South on September 3rd!
