Student government kids from 10th and 11th grade are in charge of putting the event together, along with their advisors, Ms. Hicks and Ms. G.

Ms. Hicks commented, “It is not really a stressful event; it is in the midst of planning, but the day of isn’t ever stressful. The juniors and sophomores are on games; they serve food; we are attentive to allergies; and we aim to have as much variety as possible. The seniors really like it. This year we are adding a blanket drive, so the picnic blankets are going to be donated to a homeless and animal shelter after the fact.”

Ms. G added, “I’m definitely going to miss our seniors – all the seniors – but especially our student government seniors and our student government officers. We have a lot of food from a lot of different places. We even had some of our home-made items.”

Both advisors, along with the entire student government, were very excited to see how the event would take place.
