Are you going to be a junior or senior next year? Do you have or license, or plan on getting it sometime in the near future? If so, you’re probably going to want to drive yourself to school. However, to do so, you must obtain a parking permit.
The Deadline for obtaining your permit is Thursday, May 31.
Parking permits are available for eligible juniors and seniors. In order to be considered eligile, you must meet the discipline, attendance, and academic requirements.
The requirements include zero days of OSS or ACE (ACE for dress code excluded), no level II discipline (includes five or more discipline referrals), no more than four unexcused absences and tardies, and no failing grades as a final grade for any course. If you meet these requirements, you are eligible to apply.
To apply, you can pick up a request form from the main office. Once you have picked it up, you have to fill in information, such as your driver’s license number, the make, model, and color of the car you will driving, and your insurance information. You also must include copies of your license, insurance, and registration. If you do not have your license yet, you may still apply by indicating you have your permit on the application.
If you will be driving a different car than the one you apply with, you have to hand in additional forms. The fee for doing so is $5 for each car.
The form is due to the main office by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018. If you are interested in driving to school next year, stop by the main office to get your form and hand it in as soon as possible!
