ai???There is no off season,ai??? said senior Jennifer Bukowski, referring to her commitment to field hockey at Stroudsburg High School.

Only three games into the season, Bukowski shattered a school record by scoring her 70th goal. Ai??Brooke Simonovich, a 2009 standout graduate, held the record until Bukowski came along.

Bukowski has continued to do the nearly impossible. In just her three years as a varsity starter she’s scored 87 goals.

Bukowski has scored 21 goals in her 12 games this season, helping lead the Lady Mounties to a 11-1 record so far this season.

Adding to her incredible varsity career she broke another record. Bukowski scored five goals in a single game against East Stroudsburg North to break the most goals in a single game. Another milestone she broke was scoring her 100th goal something that has never been done by a Lady Mountie before.

ai???She is one of the best girls I have ever coached,ai??? said head coach Ms. Jennifer Labasso. ai???She has a great touch on the ball, she can beat people one on one with ease, and can deceive people with the ball.ai???

ai???We practice year round and we go to tournaments as much as we can in the off season as a team so we can get better and be prepared for the regular season,ai??? Said Bukowski.

Bukowski shared one of her fondest field hockey memories: ai???Scoring the game winning goal in the EPC championship game last year has to be by far my favorite memory from my varsity career,ai??? she said. “Breaking this record means so much to me. It shows me that all of this hard work is paying off.ai???

The Lady Mounties are lead by their senior captains Samatha Tepper, Michela Burke, and Jennifer Bukowski. The team plans to keep their success up in pursuit of another EPC championship.
