Aevidum: Let’s chalk about mental health: See photo gallery below
October 25, 2018
Aevidum, a club at SHS that helps teenagers cope with difficulties, completed the “Chalk About Mental Health Campaign” on Wednesday, October 17.
“As a group, we really wanted to show our student body and staff that we are always thinking of them,” said adviser Ms. Mindy Tkach.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month in October, students designed images on the sidewalks and wrote positive messages to those struggling with mental health issues, as well as anyone who needed a smile.
“Being mindful of one’s mental health is an important factor in overall health,” said Tkach. “This was a simple, yet meaningful way to spread positivity and hopefully brighten someone’s day.”

This activity was so much fun and I think it was a great way to honor Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s a unique way to spread kindness and make someone smile.
