The Mountaineers beat East Stroudsburg North 60-35 on SHS senior night.
The Mountaineers were ahead from the start and didn’t let up. They had a 10-point lead throughout and ended 25 points above the Timberwolves.
Guard, Emily Bozena, ’25, had 14 points in the game. Bozena stated, “I’m sad my last season is ending.” Bozena also shared that she is happy she got to experience playing not only with her teammates but her friends. She said, “This season we played more like a family than a team.”
Forwards, Mckayla Strunk, ’25, scored 15 points, and Kamrin Hock, ’25 scored 9 points.
Mckayla Strunk ’25 had 13 points in that game. She claimed this season to be ¨bittersweet. ¨ Strunk’s goal now is to continue working hard and hopefully win at EPCs and districts.
Strunk has committed to East Stroudsburg University and plans to continue her basketball career there.
