Where did you teach before coming to Stroudsburg?
“I taught Middle School in Bethlehem and in Whitehall.”
What is your favorite part about SHS so far?
“My students, obviously!”
What subject or subjects do you teach?
“Currently I teach English Composition, Modern Literature, Myth & Ritual, Film Studies, and Creative Writing.”
What made you want to become a teacher?
“I was bullied a lot as a kid, and the only people in my school who made me feel safe and appreciated were my teachers. That meant a lot to me, and I wanted to “pay it forward” for other kids.”
What is one thing you learned from your students?
“Well, my students are always testing my patience, so I think they taught me patience.”
Who do you look up to?
“Most people, I’m quite short.”
What makes you smile?
“Seeing a student who finds something that they’re really passionate about. Even if it’s not something that I also am passionate about, seeing one of my students find what they love and express that love is a real joy!”
If you had one piece of advice to give to your students, what would it be?
“Whatever you do, do it with intention.”
