Art is more than just a canvas and paint. It encompasses many careers and human activities such as calligraphy, sculpting, music, theater, and so much more.
It is a form of expression present throughout history that transcends the limitations of linguistic barriers — stirring emotion, regardless of differentiating perspectives, beliefs, language, and religion.
The Stroudsburg High School’s Senior Art Exhibition was on display May 1, and is a fairly new gallery showing for art students, having been in its third year.
For this event, the seniors created biographies and decorated their part of the table in the art hallway and classrooms, depicting each of their unique and individual pieces of art.
Bethany Wert shared, “The turnout was great. We had lots of friends and family come to the opening. We also had a few teachers bring their classes down during the school day. This is something we hope to advertise next year! We’d like to set the displays up earlier in the week so that teachers can bring their classes down.”
