The 2025 Primary elections occurred on May 20th. The election was to decide who would be on the November ballot, and now we are one week away from the November 4 election.
If you are 18, you can vote!
For each voting location, there will be a different ballot for Monroe County. However, these positions listed will all be the same. You can find more information for your polling location at Monroe County/elections.
The following positions will be the same. Judge of the Superior Court, Treasurer, School District at Large (two-year term), School District at Large, Stroudburg, Coroner, Supervisor, Judge of the Commonwealth Court, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, Tax Collector, Constable, and Auditor.
Running for Judge of the Superior Court are Democrat Brandon Neuman, Republican Maria Battista, and Liberal Daniel Wassmer.
Treasurer candidates are Democrat Ira Jolley and Republican Theresa Johnson. Tom Yanac is registered as both the Democratic and Republican candidate for Coroner.
Running for the two-year term for the school board is Democrat/Republican Alex Smith. The rest of the candidates for the school board are Democrat/Republicans; Erin Derosa and Cindy Blake, Democrat; Tiffany Pozza and Kathleen M Kilker, Republicans; Chris Field and John Jake Jakobsen.
Running for Supervisor on the Democratic side is Jennifer Shukaitis, and Republican Chip Dehaven.
For Judge of the Commonwealth Court, the Democratic candidate is Stella Tsai and the Republican candidate Matt Wolford.
The Judge of the Court of Common Pleas allows you to choose two out of the four candidates. The Democratic candidates are Janet Jackson and Patrick Best, and the Republican candidates are Alex Marek and Kelly Lombardo.
Running for Tax Collector are Wendy Bogart Shiffer on the Democratic side and W Richard Taitt on the Republican side. Joan Fabian, a Democrat, is the only candidate for Auditor.
Finally, Constable candidates are Robert Hartman on the democratic side and Michael Sak on the Republican side.
