The Stroudsburg boys’ track team defeated William Allen and Pocono Mountain West during a dual meet on Monday, 4/22.
William Allen lost 4 to Stroudsburg’s 146 and PMW lost 49 to Stroudsburg’s 101 win. Kevin Polonia stole first place in both the Long jump and Triple jump. Kamoni Smith-Johnson, 12, followed with second place in the Long jump. One of Monday’s meet highlights was that Johnson tied the school record for the High Jump with a 6 foot-7-inch jump.
The boys’ team swept the 100-meter dash, the 1600-meter run, and all three relays: 4 x 100, 4 x 400, and 4 x 800, as well as the pole vault, shot put, and javelin events.
- 100-meter Dash: Sergio Teixeira, 10; Lucas Antal, 12; and Keyen Johnson, 9.
- 1600-meter run: Aiden Nieman, 11; Kaidin Hein, 11; and Nathan Fritz, 12.
- 4 x 100-meter relay and the 4 x 400 relay: Keyen Johnson, 9; Brian Burns, 12; Isaiah Weldon, 12; and Sergio Teixeira, 10.
- 4 x 800-meter relay: Dominick Perini, 11; Christian Huntley, 9; Nathan Smith, 11; and Ian Demarest, 12.
- Pole Vault: Austin Herman, 11; Maxsim Lamberton, 11; and Tyshawn Stegall, 10.
- Shot Put: Ralph Taylor, 10; Anthony Delgado, 11; and Mekhi Spencer, 12.
- Javelin: Benjamin Pilcher, 11; Jack Mitchell, 9; and Nathan Kloss, 12.
- Discus: Eddie Cruz, 12, took first place and Norell Warrick, 11, took second place.
