The logos that make up the NHLs Pacific division

I’m sure most of you have heard of the NHL or national hockey league and that there are teams who have players like any other sport in the world, but who were the best players of each team and why were they so good? In this article we are going to be looking at the Pacific Division and their best players. I will be going off the players whose last season or current season was on that team.

The first team up is the Anaheim Ducks.

Now who was their best player? Was it Teemu Selänne or Corey Perry?

If you guessed Ryan Getzlaf, you are the winner. With an astonishing 1018 total goals in his career and 737 assists in his career, he was an amazing player for the ducks.

From his forward position, he broke many records including most assists and points in a game and most assists in the season. He is now retired after playing an incredible 17 seasons with the Ducks.

The next team in the Pacific division is the Calgary flames. Most of you may have never heard of him unless you really know your hockey players or are a Flames fan.

It is Jarome Ignila with 625 career goals and 675 assists, leading the flames in both. He is now retired but he was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2022; Four years after his retirement.

The Edmonton Oilers feature our first player who hasn’t retired yet and is currently building a legacy for himself. The man with 3 Hart Trophies, Conner McDavid, is the best Oilers player of all time. With 982 points and 647 assists so far in his career, he is a one of a kind player.

With 1,373 goals and 1,161 assists  the Scandinavian center from the LA Kings, Anze Kopitar, holds the record for most scored goals with the Kings.

Kopitar also won 2 Stanley cups for his career so far and he wants more. Kopitar is the best player in all of Kings history.

Next we have the San Jose Sharks with our first player who had more assists than goals, Patrick Marleau

Marleau accrued 566 goals and 631 assists in his all time career. He spent an unbelievable 21 seasons with the Sharks, playing in 3 All-Star games.

The newest team in the NHL, the Seattle Kraken, does not have a lot of history yet but that doesn’t mean they don’t have an all time player. The Krakens all time player, Jared McCann, leads the Kraken with the most points at 162 goals and 175 assists in his career.

The Vancouver Canucks  have #33 at center, Henrick Sedin. He had 240 goals and 830 assists.

He holds the title of the Canucks leading scorer. Sedin retired in 2018 after playing for 18 seasons straight. He is said to be the best player not to win a Stanley cup.

The final Pacific division team is the Vegas Golden Knights. Now who holds the title of best player of all time for the Golden Knights? None other than Mark Stone, left wing for the Knights. He has a total of 212 and 355 assists in his career with the Knights. He holds 1 Stanley cup in his career with his team.

The pacific had some great players but just wait for the Central division, with the Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, the Dallas Stars, and many more. Coming soon to the Mountaineer.
